PACK

Always be prepared

Lake Superior may give us sunshine, rain, wind, bugs, chilly mornings, warm afternoons, or any number of those before lunch.

Temperatures could range from the 50s to the 90s, but we’re expecting mostly 60s at night and 70s to 80s during the day. Bring light layers, a rain jacket, and enough bug protection to avoid becoming part of the local food chain.

Flying or packing light? No problem. There is plenty to see and do without special equipment, and gear rentals are available nearby for many activities. If you are planning any more intensive activities on your own (sailing, sea kayaking, canoe trip, etc), please check the recommended pack list for those.

Local Supplies

Two Harbors is a small but tourist-friendly town with restaurants, gas stations, shops, pharmacies, and a grocery store. Duluth is also nearby and has plenty of additional supplies.

We will have a first-aid kit, extra bug and sun protection, and a few other essentials on hand.
